MS geology. 10 years of industry related experience. Experience at a major oil company. Prospect generation and assessment using probabilistic risk and reserve analysis. Proficient in Landmark Workstations. Experience working salt basins and an understanding of salt tectonics. Previous experience working the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico will be an advantage.
Job # 1123 - Regional Advisor - Reservoir Systems
Ms or PhD in Geosciences
10+ years of relevant experience according to the following:
Highly Desirable
· A track record of evaluation within multiple basins in multiple tectonic settings;
· Experience in play fairway (common risk segment) analysis, with particular focus on reservoir segments;
· Experience in clastic and/or carbonate depositional systems;
· While skill in the Paradigm interpretation platform and in PETRA is preferred, a proven ability in other equivalent platforms is acceptable;
· Experience with ArcGIS.
Desirable/Beneficial
· Experience in multiple Latin American basins
· Knowledge of the principles of hydrocarbon maturation and migration
· Experience in multiple interpretation platforms
· Ability to understand geological written Spanish and/or Portuguese
Job # 154 - Sr. Staff Geoscientist
Education/trained as a geophysicist, but functions as a geoscientist (maps, correlates wells, reviews petrophysics, etc.)
o 10-20 years (will consider less in the right candidate
o Deepwater, GOM preferred
o Subsalt
o Appraisal/development and production experience
o Comfortable working multiple projects
o Comfortable following work programs outside of expertise (e.g. attend meeting on subsea pipeline for field)
o Self-guided / motivated
Job # 949 - Geological Advisor - Interpreter (GOM)
BS geology or geophysics, 8+ years experience in the Oil/Gas industry, preferably within basins with mobile substrate, Gulf of Mexico experience is desired but not necessary. Technical expertise or familiarity with the regional geology of the U.S. Gulf Coast and adjacent offshore areas. Structural understanding of, and seismic interpretation experience in, salt basins or areas with mobile substrate. Technical experience in, or practical knowledge of PDSM seismic processing in and around complex allochthonous salt geometries, structure and isochore mapping, regional map integration from disparate data sets. Basic skills in log analysis and correlation
